are these contractions or ?
I am 38 weeks 2 days pregnant and ive been having some discomfort in my stomach and back. I was actually told to go to the hospital 2 days ago because it was believed that i lost my mucus plug. I got to the hospital they checked me i was 2 cent dilated. dr wanted me to walk for 2 hrs and recheck me and when they did i was the same so they sent me home. I’ve been having this discomfort and I’m not sure if its contractions, gas or possibly constipation. Is there any way really to determine between them? This is not my 1st child its my 3rd but both my boys I had different experiences so I don’t know what to think with this one. Thank you.
It all depends on what they feel like. All contractions, pregnancies are different. With my first pregnancy the contractions were horrible like really bad cramping in the front. The second pregnancy i didn’t even know they were contractions. I kept telling everyone it felt like my baby was stretching out her arms and legs all at once and pushing on my stomach, little did i know i was in labor. good luck

Usually with contractions they get more painful and closer together… so if you’re experiencing either I would go ahead and make another trip to the hospital.
